MVP! MVP! MVP!
This is a great article about why Andruw Jones deserves the National League Most Valuable Player award this year. I couldn't agree more.
On another note, Willamette offered admission to six Tulane students whose school years would have otherwise ended. They're paying to fly them out to Salem from New Orleans (or wherever they ended up after running from Katrina) and start classes, under the condition that they pay their normal costs of tuition to Tulane so their home university won't go bankrupt. I'm really proud to be a Bearcat.

That's really great for those students. I wonder if other universities are pitching in to help.

All of the medical schools in the US have offered to take the med students of Tulane and LSU along with their residents in the middle of their residency programs so that no time will be lost for their education.
