First Day of My Life

My friend Jess burnt me a CD with emo/good music for me. It is filled with bands that I’ve never heard of but are nonetheless really good, like Bright Eyes, Cursive, Postal Service and others. My Ricky Martin album is going back in the drawer for a while because this music kicks ass!

  • Are you gonna be the new emo guy around campus? If so, you'll have to stop eating Pop-Tarts and Ho-hos for lunch.

  • Sorry, I actually don't think its that cool of a blog. But I'm glad you enjoyed the good/emo music (I think that good music can be emo and vice versa). PS I think if you are going to be emo, you might have to be a vegan, and that involves eating veggies, so mabey just listen to the music, think deep thoughts, and keep-up with the pop tarts.

  • I thought you were a lost cause on music :) You should really try out the picks for months that I post on MA, they are things that even the virgin indie ears can enjoy (I think you should call it indie music, since it is, which sounds less lame than emo)

  • I'm not sure if I'm more happy that you're discovering good music or sad that until now you'd been listening to Ricky Martin. Please let that be a joke. Menudo for life!
